Each year, schools across the division nominate an exceptional education staff member for their exemplary service and passion. This year, Carver is proud to recognize Katey Corning, one of our dedicated school counselors. Here is what her nominators had to say:
"I'd like to nominate Katey Corning! She balances supporting a variety of student needs alongside collaborating with both school staff and parents to support student growth. She always finds the strengths of the child and connects with so many of our students in a sweet way."
"Katey has always been helpful with some of my needier social skills friends in the past, but this year, she has been exceptionally helpful with one of my 5th graders. She is so kind to the students and understands their social-emotional needs. Katey is committed to providing their accommodations and support when they need them."
