One of our 1st grade teachers, Ms. Royal, is extending her learning through a Henrico County microcredential and our entire first grade is benefiting! Throughout this unit, students are learning how polluted water can impact plant growth and will be generating solutions! So far, students have gone on learning walks to collect litter, discussed the differences between organic waste and human waste, and explore soil as part of their investigation. As the unit continues, students will watch plant growth using a germination tree and a designated space outdoors. We look forward to seeing what they learn and will be sure to share!
